Not as morbid as it sounds!!! Pixie, a thrice-rescued chiweenie, is 15 now and d-o-n-e with bike basket lyfe. She's ready to retire from being an adventure dog and enter house cat mode (house cat mode means she'll only get on the bike to go to the vet and otherwise get around on her own four paws). But she's down to lead one last ride! Come cruise 5ish miles through town with Pix while she reminisces about biking to the coast with Oregon Field Guide, staying overnight with 200 rescued farm beasts at an animal sanctuary on a bike trip down to Eugene, and wishing she had a spiky hawk-repelling coat in the basket on the way to the Canadian border. From Barksy to Pixie Lix: We'll start at the Barksy mural behind the Lucky Lab on Hawthorne and end at St. Francis Ice Cream in Foster-Powell where their signature flavor is called PIXIE LIX!!!! Note: Pixie Lix contains only cookies & cream ice cream and rainbow sprinkles, no traces of chiweenie nor saliva; Pixie is not sure why it's called Pixie Lix. Pixie may very well be sick of you (...and sick of her chauffeur...and sick of the bike...and sick of the playlist she carefully crafted) by the time she reaches St. Francis and want to rush directly home, but you should stay for ice cream and pop next door to Bruno's for drinks and food, or bike five blocks to Portland Mercado while you're in the area. Here's the route (which is shaped like the lower half of Pixie's smile before she had all her bottom teeth pulled \^^^^^/ ): https://ridewithgps.com/routes/47890946
